4 – 6 November 2011 What a weekend at the opening round of the V8 Ute Championship at Pukekohe Park Raceway. It was a great way to start the series with great racing and a huge amount of passion and excitement from the crowd … Geoff Spencer in the TWL/The Barn Company Holden crafted an excellent weekend culminating in a second and third place on Sunday. With the two podium presentations and the third place podium for the entire weekend it was a great start to the year for Geoff and the team, as well as a TWL staff and customers who attended. Geoff was ecstatic with the result. Being his best ‘round’ performance yet it provides a good boost of confidence and sets a high-standard for the rest of the series. It all started on Friday with hot laps for TWL’ Pukekohe customers followed by a BBQ and a beer with the rest of the drivers and teams. Saturday’s weather was fantastic with sunshine, good crowds and racing to match. But it was Sunday where things really amped up! Despite some rain, Sunday delivered an amazing atmosphere with parts of the crowd simply going wild. Our TWL promotional models Rachel and Debbie were overwhelmed with photo requests along with the TWL/Barn Company Ute. Geoff and the Ute were very popular over the weekend with the public. He definitely attracted a lot of attention, cameras were flashing everywhere. We would definitely like to thank all the new friends and supporters we met over the weekend. So … a fantastic start to the season! Stay tuned for the next round and any upcoming promotions around Geoff Spencer and the TWL/The Barn Company Ute.
