Gold Coast - Wheel Nut Indicator Prize Winner

19 May 10

The winner of the WHEEL NUT prize draw as featured in the March 2010 Roadzone is Envirowaste Services Christchurch.

The Gold Coast Holiday prize includes flights ex Auckland & Christchurch to the value of $2000 including GST plus $500 spending money.

Why Use Wheel Nut Indicators?
Visual Wheel nut indicators are used by major fleets throughout North America, Canada, Europe and now New Zealand with Fonterra starting a fit out of Wheel Nut Indicators across their entire fleet.

By utilising Wheel Nut Indicators in conjunction with the manufacturer’s recommended periodic wheel torque procedures, you provide a closed loop solution to an ongoing maintenance problem. During normal pre-shift inspections, drivers and/or maintenance staff can spot ‘at a glance’ problems before they manifest into expensive downtime and parts replacement, or worse, catastrophic wheel detachment, with injury or death possible for an innocent bystander.

The Wheel Nut Indicators come in YELLOW as standard, with some sizes available in RED. The ideal use for RED indicators is when a wheel has been changed. The YELLOW indicators are replaced by RED when the wheel is re-fitted highlighting the need for a re torque. Once the wheel has had the re torque done, YELLOW indicators are fitted back onto the wheel nuts.
